Songi is a 6 year old spitz mix with a soft, gentle nature and a quiet strength that shines through despite everything she has been through. She was rescued from the Andong wildfires in 2025, carrying both physical scars and a story of survival. Yet, Songi remains incredibly sweet, trusting, and ready for a peaceful life with someone who will cherish her.

She is a calm and affectionate dog who bonds closely with her people. While she may be a little shy at first, she warms up without fear and becomes a loving, loyal companion. She is especially gentle around children and has no preference between men and women. Songi enjoys being close to her person, resting in soft beds, and quietly sharing space.

Songi generally gets along with other dogs, especially calm ones, but she can feel a bit jealous if attention is given to another dog. Because of this, she would do best as the only dog in the home where she can fully relax and feel secure. She is good with cats and mostly uninterested in them, but she may chase small animals like birds, so some supervision is needed.

She is fully house trained, calm indoors, and has a low energy level. She enjoys walks but is otherwise very relaxed at home. On leash, she walks beautifully on a harness, with only a slight pull at the beginning before settling into a calm rhythm. She rarely barks and is very easy to live with.

Songi does have some ongoing care needs. She has a history of skin eczema that requires simple management, and she has fully recovered from previous surgery on her hind leg. She also carries some visible scars from her past, but they do not define her, they are simply part of her story.
