Choco is a 4 year old female with a story that stays with you. She was found on the side of the highway, lying in a pool of blood after being hit by a car and left behind. One of her legs was so badly injured it could not be saved. Despite unimaginable pain, Choco held on and fought for her life until help arrived and she was rushed into emergency surgery.

Since that day, Choco lives life on three legs. And yet, she has never let that define her.

Choco is a gentle, loving dog who enjoys being close to people. She walks well on a leash, runs in her own way, and happily spends time with other dogs. She has no guarding behaviour, no hunting instinct, and rarely barks. Her nature is soft, calm, and deeply affectionate.

Because of what she has been through, Choco can be a little cautious in busy or overwhelming situations. She prefers to keep a bit of space during active play, as she is mindful of her body and avoids being knocked over. This does not make her fragile, it shows how aware and resilient she is.

Choco does not need an intense or highly active lifestyle. What she needs is simple and meaningful. A safe home, gentle care, and people who will love her for who she is.

She would do best in a home that understands she does not need intense exercise, but rather consistency, comfort, and connection. A peaceful environment where she can rest, feel secure, and be included will allow her to truly thrive.

Choco has already faced more than most dogs ever should, and still chose to trust, to love, and to keep going.
