1. The dog will be kept as a household companion animal and provided safe, humane care at all times.
2. The dog must not be used for breeding. If the dog is not sterilised at the time of adoption due to age or medical reasons, the Adopter agrees to have the dog sterilised at the appropriate time as advised by a veterinarian, unless a veterinarian confirms in writing that sterilisation is not recommended.
3. Relocation
If the dog is relocated outside the Netherlands, the Adopter must inform Moon & Meadow Rescue in advance. If the dog needs to be returned and no suitable solution can be arranged in the country the Adopter is in, the Adopter agrees to cover the costs of returning the dog to Moon & Meadow Rescue.
4. The Adopter may not sell, rehome, give away, or transfer the dog to any person or organisation.
5. If the Adopter can no longer keep the dog, the dog must be returned to Moon & Meadow Rescue.
6. The Rescue may request reasonable follow-up updates to ensure the dog is settling safely.
After ownership transfers, the Adopter accepts responsibility for the dog and any damage or injury caused by the dog. The Rescue is not liable for incidents after adoption except in cases of intentional misrepresentation of information known at the time of adoption.
