Max is a 4 year old neutered male who has been waiting far too long for a family of his own. He was found on the streets with a chain around his neck by a kind handyman who brought him to safety the next day. At first, we thought he may have simply been lost, but it soon became clear that Max had been abandoned.

Max is healthy, neutered, and fully vaccinated. He is toilet trained, walks nicely on a leash, and does well around other dogs. He is calm in the car and has so much love to give. Max is a deeply loyal dog who forms strong bonds and really wants to feel safe with his people.

Max is also a sensitive boy, and because of what he has been through, he can become nervous in unfamiliar situations or around certain new people. When he feels overwhelmed or unsure, he may react defensively, so it is important that his future home understands his signals and can guide him calmly and confidently. He is not a bad dog, and this does not define him, but he does need an experienced home that can help him feel secure and continue building his confidence in the right way.
