Foster with Moon & Meadow Rescue

Fostering with Moon & Meadow Rescue means giving a rescued dog a safe, temporary home while we work to find them a loving permanent home. Fosters are essential. You help a dog decompress, learn a routine, and get ready for adoption.

How fostering works

  1. Application
Complete the foster application below. No ID is required at this stage.
  2. Review
We review your application to ensure a safe and suitable foster environment.
  3. Matching
We match you with a dog based on your home set-up, lifestyle, and the dog’s needs.
  4. Foster agreement
Once approved, you will sign a foster agreement. ID details are requested at that stage. The dog remains registered under Moon & Meadow Rescue and the agreement clarifies responsibilities.
  5. Fostering
You care for the dog in your home and follow our guidance for daily care, decompression, training, and vet visits. Moon & Meadow covers vet costs.
  6. Check-ins
We stay in regular contact for the dog’s wellbeing and to support you.
  7. Rehoming
When the dog is ready, Moon & Meadow handles the adoption process and placement. You get the joy of helping the dog find their forever home.
